After the release of the the debut album ‘Dongbei Delta’ with Chinese
beatboxer Xiao Hai and a 2013 tour of China, South Korea and Japan,
GUIGUISUISUI returned with another assortment of murky
punk/rockabilly/blues songs recorded in China's Northeast. The single ‘Nineteen Below Zero’ was
recorded with The Electric Shadows, an ad hoc backing band consisting
of beatboxer turned bass player Xiao Hai and drummer Mao Da Gong.

The outcome is a dark, punk-rockabilly amalgamation detailing all the
frustrations of living in a rustbelt Chinese frontier city; where the
temperatures drop way below nineteen centigrade, and entertainment
beyond pounding one’s liver is few and far between.
